Winners – Edmonton Brewery

Once again Peter J’s was fortunate to work directly with a familiar franchise as one of their preferred General Contractors. We stepped onto this site when it was well under construction by Synergy Projects trying to turn over the greater area now known as the Brewery District in Edmonton.

Our scope of work on this project was the full construction of this concept (one-off) store by TJX Canada including all required sales floor fixturing ready for merchandise when we turned over the key. This was Peter J’s first brand new store for TJX Canada. Our past experiences with this franchise consisted of existing store renovations as well as sales fixture installations across Western Canada. With help and insight from our client representative, we were not only able to turn this project over on time but we were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to take home with us the many lessons that still serve us to this day improving our experiences and capabilities with every new project.

The difficulties that this site brought forward included everything from a construction site with dirt/mud right up to the sidewalks, to a lack of accessible loading dock and no elevator to our second-floor construction site. With the help of the prime contractor and our sub-trades strong backs, we were able to ensure that the delays of the greater site did not influence our ability to complete our project on time.
